Taken from the official Copperhead Facebook page, here is our first look at the star of the film, Billy Campbell, who stepped in to replace Jason Patric just last week for the lead role of Abner Beech. This is an nice in-camera shot, as you can see him preparing for a scene in front of a green screen:
Some background on Campbell: The Golden Globe-nominated actor is a veteran in his own right, appearing in nearly 60 films and television shows, including regular roles on The 4400, The O.C, Crime Story, and Dynasty, as well as starring roles in Moon Over Miami, Once and Again and AMC’s The Killing. As for film, he will be teaming up with director Ron Maxwell for the third time, as he was Lt. Pitzer in Gettysburg, and Maj. Gen. George Pickett in Gods and Generals. We would like to wish him the best of luck in this role!
