I’ve always felt that the “fresh start” and “clean slate” as promised by the start of a new year was a bit cliched, but given all that has happened in the past year, especially here in the northeast, with so much damage caused by Hurricane Sandy, and most recently, the school shooting in Connecticut, there are many people in search of just that. I sincerely hope that all of those who had a disappointing 2012 will have a very happy and healthy 2013! There are so many wonderful people out there who have gotten the short end of the stick, and deserve much better.
As for this blog, once again I have to thank my loyal readers for their viewership, and the many people who have shared this blog with others to give us the biggest audience we have ever had in its nearly three year run. During this past year, we set records for average daily and monthly views, giving us our highest annual total of more than 238,000 hits. By the coming February or March, we will most likely be hitting our 500,000th visitor all-time, since we began back in early 2010. The prospects for the coming year on the blogosphere are indeed exciting, with Copperhead coverage slated to be going into full-swing as we get closer to spring. An interview with actor Josh Cruddas has already been conducted and will be released at a later date, and I have another one lined up with soundtrack composer Laurent Eyquem later this week. I’m sure there will also be some unexpected topics that will arise and receive coverage (maybe even a fragmented NHL season to write about?). For that, I’m just going to do what I’ve always done—ride the wave and go wherever the wind takes me.
Have a happy New Year, everyone!
