Greg Caggiano is a 21-year-old freelance writer, historian, and sports instructor. This blog, “From New York to San Francisco“, covers movies, television, history, music, books, sports, and more! He has had articles linked on the New York Times, Yahoo’s Puck Daddy, and CBS Sports and has been featured in print media such as the Lancaster New Era. In May of 2011, for his coverage of the Gods and Generals Extended Director’s Cut release and world premiere, he was officially recognized by Warner Brothers and given press credentials to the event in Manassas, Virginia. As of June 2012, he has been blogging for the Civil War film Copperhead, on their official website.
In his spare time, Greg serves as a historical interpreter and 1st Vice President of the Board of Trustees for the Proprietary House Association in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, the last remaining Royal Governor’s Mansion in any of the thirteen colonies, built in 1762, and the former home of Benjamin Franklin’s son William. Aside from that, he is studying history and education at New Jersey City University, wanting to become a history teacher at the high school level, works as a substitute teacher and program instructor for a local middle school, and has coached hockey at several schools and institutions since 2007. For public speaking, he has lectured or taught classes on the American Civil War, Revolutionary War, World War II, and paranormal activity at historic sites.
