Blogging Manassas (Vol. 2): “G & G” World Premiere Official Press Release

I just received another email from the folks at Warner Brothers which included the official press release for Friday night’s theatrical world premiere of the Gods and Generals Extended Director’s Cut. We now know the exact times of everything and what actors/historians will be in attendance. Below is what is relevant from the release, if you are planning on attending:

Star Studded Gala Launches Four Days of Special Events in Manassas, VA 

WHO: Gods and Generals starsBruce Boxleitner (Lt. General James Longstreet), C. Thomas Howell (Sergeant Thomas Chamberlain), Frankie Faison (Jim Lewis), Brian Mallon (Maj. General Winfield Scott Hancock), Alex Hyde-White (Maj. Gen. Ambrose E. Burnside), Donzaleigh Abernathy (Martha), Patrick Gorman (General John Bell Hood) and John Castle (Old Penn). James I. Roberston, Civil War historian,  is scheduled to attend. Director Ron Maxwell will introduce the film, new footage, and video segments focused on embracing the Journey Through Hallowed Ground National Heritage area and sharing it with future generations. He will also lead a panel with the film’s stars and historical advisers. (*Additional talent expected, all subject to change according to the actor’s filming schedules).

WHAT: Journey Through Hallowed Ground Partnership, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group, The Virginia Film Office and director Ron Maxwell commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War with a theatrical premiere of the new Gods and Generals Extended Director’s Cut as part of four days of special events in Manassas, VA(the site of the War’s start).
